Recovery + Landon’s first weeks

Before June 11th, I thought the couple days in the hospital after giving birth were for the baby…how naive and innocent was I? A good way to sum it up would be Jared’s reaction. During our stay, he said, “Wow, I never realized what my mom and sisters went through.” Now, I don’t want this to be a “poor Lindsey” post and neither for the last. I understand that what I went through is just what comes with the miracle of childbirth and also, that many people go through a lot worse. With that said though, recovery sucks! lol And in my opinion, even worse then the stitches and other expected side effects, getting a handful of hemorrhoids doesn’t help. After 2 weeks, I am finally able to sit on most chairs without my handy dandy donut! :) And lets talk about the tummy that definitely doesn’t disappear instantly. Those darn movies and false realities that they put in my head! I used to think that women don’t go back to church right away after having a baby due to the fear of taking the baby into a germ-infested world. That may be the case for winter babies, but I have come to the conclusion that many times, the delay is really due to the fact that the mother’s old church clothes don’t fit yet and she would rather be caught dead then wearing her maternity clothes in public still. Might I be confessing my own thoughts? Maybe, maybe not… :-p
Moving on…
